There is a large barbecue and you can eat outside either on the dining terrace or at the large table in the garden. The garden contains lavender, rosemary and jasmine plants for scent on the evening air. Swimming Pool There is a large swimming pool plus a paddling pool for young children. These are for residents of Casa Lorca and its few adjoining houses only. The pools are set in a well maintained garden next to the beach. There is a private gate giving access straight onto the beach. |

The Beach
As you step out of the pool area onto the beach to the left it stretches away to a wooded headland. About a hundred metres along is a family-run beach bar/restaurant which is open all day and evening between June and September and which is always very jolly and extremely good value. Another similar establishment is further along. If you have young children they can play while you relax in the shade. |
| Children & Teenagers When ours were growing up the one thing we wanted when on holiday was not to have to worry if they were out of sight when they were young or if they might be bored as they got older. You can have that peace of mind at Casa Lorca. |

Restaurants Lots of choice both for price and type. You can enjoy the great informal beach restaurants such as the one near Casa Lorca, eat wonderful seafood in the fish restaurants by the harbour in the little port town of Garrucha which is ten minutes away, sit overlooking the two tiny harbours in the fishing village of Villaricos which is just up the road, find places in the countryside or dine more elegantly in interesting surroundings. There is plenty to choose from and some of our favourites are listed elsewhere on this website and in the Guest Information Folder at the house. |
| Activities Apart from the obvious ones of sun and sand there are a variety of things to do for all ages in the immediate area. Again these are listed elsewhere here and in the Guest Information Folder. Briefly they range from four excellent golf courses within five to fifteen minutes drive away, a water park, go-karting, scuba diving, horse riding, a fitness centre and lots more. Out in the countryside where they used to make films such as the Clint Eastwood 'Spaghetti Westerns' there are Wild West theme parks in the old studio sets with enough cowboys and shoot-outs daily to thrill any young boy while for teenagers a night out in the nearby beach resort of Mojacar is good fun. |
