You can get to Casa Lorca by flying into either Alicante, Murcia or Almeria airports.

It is impossible to keep up here with all the flights from all of the UK airports that there are nowadays but there are direct links to at least some of the carriers below.

Travel to Casa Lorca

This is very straightforward. Whichever airport you arrive at there is one motorway to get on to and you stay on it until getting off at the exit nearest Casa Lorca. The house is no more than fifteen minutes from there.

We will provide route details when you book. Spanish roads tend to have less traffic on them than ours and for most of the way the motorway is a dual carriageway. We have never suffered any delays on it.

Alicante Airport is about two hours away, Murcia Airport is about ninety minutes away and Almeria Airport is about forty five minutes.

Car Hire

It is best to hire on the internet before you leave the UK. Do not assume that all the rates will be about the same. It is worth shopping round. Holiday Autos usually seem very competitive and reliable.

A tip to save time on arrival is that the hirer should go straight to the car hire desk and leave someone else to pick up the luggage from the carousel and follow on. A lot of other people have just got off the same plane and many will be heading for the same car hire desks after they've got their luggage - this way you'll stand more chance at being at the front of any queue. End up at the back and you could waste half an hour or more given the speed of the Spanish way of doing things.

Remember :

Take your driving licence with you. They will not let you hire a car without seeing it. This means if you have one of the picture licences you must also take the paper part of the licence as well.
Keep your driving licence and the car hire documents with you when driving as you are required by law to produce them on the spot if asked to do so by the police.
Seat belts are obligatory.
The Spanish Police take a serious view of drunken driving. Don't assume you can get away with it.
